Said to be the Most Exciting event in RC Modeling! Racing Classes: Novice entry level trainer races Rules change on 424 engine, any 40 size engine that turns under 17000 rpm. Q-500 Sportsman (424) & Q-500 Nelson (428) & Quarter Midget 40 (422) Trainer/Novice races for those who just want the experience of what its like to try pylon racing. Propellers will be provided by the contest administration! · 424 Engine Rule: Rules change on 424 engine, any 40 size engine that turns under 17000 rpm. · NO COMPOSITE PLANES ALLOWED IN AMA 424 ,ONLY ENGINE ALLOWED AND APPROVED IS THE THUNDER TIGER PRO .40. PER RECENT AMA CHANGES IN THE RULES. · Engine Claim Rule (424): At the end of the event an engine may be claimed only by pilots competing in the same event for $150. The claim must be consummated on the day of the race. If you refuse, you forfeit your place and points for that event. · AMA Quickie 500 (428) and Quarter 40 (422) Class Rules: Standard AMA Rules as spelled out in AMA Rule Book . Take 1-70 east to Airpark Road (exit 292). Take exit and then turn left on frontage road. Proceed east past old Conoco Station and follow dirt road to the east side of the airport.
